Max Bupa has launched a comprehensive health insurance plan called 'ReAssure.' Under this plan, every person covered in the insurance policy will get insurance cover up to the entire sum assured several times a year on any kind of hospitalization. This means that in the same year if the covered members in this policy need to be hospitalized several times, each time they will get insurance cover up to the entire sum assured. Under this policy, the hospitalization will also be covered due to COVID-19.
How this policy is different from others:
For example, four members of a family (husband, wife, and two children) take a floater insurance plan of Rs 5 lakh under the Max Bupa assurance policy. Now, if any of them have to be hospitalized due to COVID-19 or any other disease, the policyholder can claim an insurance cover of up to five lakh rupees with the assured benefit. In the same year, if the same person or any other member covered in the policy has to be re-hospitalized due to the same disease or any other disease, there will be an insurance cover of five rupees in each case. The benefit of this insurance cover will be given to two members simultaneously, even if they are hospitalized at the same time.
Sum assured will increase if the claim is not taken:
The release issued by the company says that this insurance policy comes with 'booster benefits.' Two years under this, if you have not taken any claim, your sum assured is doubled. It is also important to point out that if you make a claim because of the COVID-19, it will not affect your booster benefits. This means that your sum assured will increase only when you claim the Covid-19.
