Universal Account Number (UAN) is a 12 digit unique number that is allotted to an EPF member. It is a permanent number and valid for the entire lifetime of a member. The employer of the employee can generate the Uan number. In case of a change in employment, the UAN allotted earlier can be provided by the employer. (EPFO) member through UAN can know and withdraw his PF balance at any time without the help of the employer. However, in many circumstances, it has been observed that the UAN of the employee is not generated. Even without UAN, members can make their access to their PF balance. Check EPF balance without UAN:
Step-1. Log in to the EPF home page of epfindia.gov.in.
Step-2. Click on "Click Here to Know your EPF Balancing."
Step-3. Now you will be redirected to e-services.in/epfo/. Now you have to go to "Member Balance Information."
Step-4. Now choose your state and click on your EPFO office link.
Step 5. Enter your PF account number, name, and registered mobile number.
Step-6. Now click submit. Now your PF balance will appear on the screen.
How to withdraw money from PF account without UAN:
If you do not have UAN, you will have to fill up a PF withdrawal form and submit it to the local PF office. The member will have to download the Aadhaar-based new overall claim form or non-Aadhaar overall claim form from the Internet. The process of withdrawal from PF without Uan may cost more time. You can make partial or complete withdrawals from the PF account as per your requirement. The full withdrawal of the IFF can be made after the employee's retirement or if he remains unemployed for more than two months. If an employee remains unemployed for a month, he can withdraw 75% of his total PF amount from the pension fund.
